A good deed & a chat.

A nbr round the corner saw me weeding /pottering in my front garden & asked me to stop & look for her cat.The cat was a house cat & not used to being out.
So I dropped what I was doing & saw the cat in a gap between next door’s fence & their fence. The cat stared at me & immediately turned round & went home! I went back & told the nbr that her cat was home.
“You live at number 3 and your husband is always washing the car is n’t he?”
“Yes. And I bought him a new chamois leather. I love the sparrows in your garden. Thanks.”
My wife explained that she had seen an alert for a missing cat over 24 hrs in a local news bulletin but had no idea it was that close.
It was a first time chat & a grateful & kind lady. Social distancing was OK . The cat gave a good stare. It only just managed to turn round!!!!
Nice to help

Your good deed for the day! And now you have a new acquaintance too. These pussycats have their uses.

well done you. It is nice when we can help our neighbours. Social distancing seems to be having some positives.

Well done on your good dead of the day. I wonder if puss had got out of the way of the water from the washing of the car. As far as I know cats don't like water all that much.

Amazing how easy it is to have a chat (keeping the correct distance of course) with neighbours these days. No-one so busy to not have time now I suppose.
