Oh another beautiful tranquil garden! Is this the first time you've shown it to us Bill - I don't remember seeing it before. Is your Magnolia scented? I only discovered mine is yesterday after 11 years - pathetic eh?

Our eldest lives in Bucharest & we were due to fly to her this Easter but with the lock down she has come home . She teaches on line & can do it from UK. The frames shots are from the main kitchen window.
The magnolia stellata is growing year on year & the acer is now is waking up. This was the 4th day of leafing. We will have an arch to get into the garden soon.
We have 3 Daphne flowering still since November. Very fragrant. THe pale magnolia in the front is bigger but with just a handful of flowers.
Thanks for nice comments

What fabulous pictures. Your cherry Tree looks beautiful and planted in just the right place! Our neighbour has one which is huge and is growing right against the fence between our gardens. Their garden is very large, so they don't have a problem with it. Our garden is only small and the tree blocks out lots of sunlight.
I love these trees. They are quite stunning, but not all are in suitable places, as yours is.

lovely blossom tree, the hedging to the right looks well maintained as well, love the way the foliage more or less starts from the base, is that yew out of curiosity

The hedge is conifer & protects our car from frost. The ornamental cherry was planted pre 1980 we think . Some branches went over the car & looked attractive but they were too close for comfort. The tree is in a good spot and kids love catching the blossoms in the wind as they walk past. The blossom goes over a wide area & reaches a lot of the street. The leaves in autumn go a lot further.
