What you buy might not be what you get

I like to support charities & buy plants on their stalls.
On the IoW one year I got a cactus that was about to flower. We got it home & a nice sunny windowsill was its home. Flowers arrived in abundance. Mammillarias mmm…..A load of brown flowers!!!!

Last month got a Lewisia (well I thought so) the flowers were tiny . I dropped the plant by the front door (an unwanted 1st!!) The broken stem is still in a vase ..still flowering.

At the same time I got a fantastic lilac/pink Dipladenia. Last flower finished. Anyway it is growing tentacles. My Elena might get hooked while eating lunch.Anyway it looks like the climber Mandevilla instead. Height & spread 22ft possibly……help!!!……One of the tentacles has 20ft to go!!

Yes it is putting a tentacle around the Orchid on the dining room table, very friendly plant.

I had to read this twice, very amusing, now I have an image of the hallway overgrown with weird and wonderful plants, bit like you'd expect to find at Hogwarts...
Welcome from me too, I have an overimaginative mind lol.....

Up date.
The plant I dropped is flowering nicely....more than when I bought it. No idea what it is tho'.

I keep untangling the Mandevilla Dipladenia masquerader from other plants & the goldfish.
