Wentworth village,and gardens.S.Yorkshire

Wow! So lovely to see this. Oliveoil...my Mum...was born here! I've been a few times, but never to the GC or the Stately Home. That's so lovely that they were married in the Church. I have been in the church I think. I have a vague memory of being in there with Mum many years ago, but perhaps that was in a dream..not sure. We used to go on Boxing Day for a walk around the Village, and there were always Morris Dancers outside the Pub! So lovely of you to share this Sandra. Thank you. :))))))

How lovely it brought back some family memories for you,Karen..by coincidence,I've just left a comment on your mums latest blog :o) I didn't take a photo of the Church,as I said in this blog,I wouldn't want to take anything away from Chris,as I'm sure she will have some lovely photo's to show us,when she feels up to it. Both our OH's took some of Chris and I together too..
The GC has grown tremendously,and sadly,you now have to pay to go round those areas I posted photo's of.and they also have other things you have to pay for now,but they do have a lovely Restaurant,and some well cared for plants :o) I bought two mini trailing Surfinias from the sales area ..as you do :o)Thank you for adding this to your Faves:o) x

It was a lovely day,Amy,and Chris was so nice too..The Wedding certainly lifted her spirits :o)I did a daft thing yesterday,and added something on to her last blog,not realising no one would add to it or read it.. Duh! I forgot she had told me she wouldn't have WiFi..It was all about yesterday...looks like the Dunces corner again for me :o) x

The gardens are impeccable. Somebody has obviously put much time and effort into it. I'm glad you got to share in Wildrose's special day. It must have meant so much.

What a lovely day! Not only meeting even more GoY friends, and sharing their special day, but Paradise Square as well. What more could you ask? I'm glad Chris was able to enjoy the day too, despite the resent loss of her mum. :))

Wentworth looks a very pretty place, the cottages and gardens are very picture post card pretty. So pleased it was a nice day for the wedding, It was sad to hear about Chris's Mum passing away but glad Chris was able to enjoy the wedding. I will look forward to seeing the wedding pictures when Chris puts them on, you are doing well meeting up with another member of Goy Sandra keep it up!!

I can't believe that she actually sent me a card for my birthday with all this going on ! I'm hoping I get to meet her too one day !

It really was lovely to meet up with Chris and her family..just wish we could have spent more time together..I also received a card from her a few weeks ago, not for a special event,but it was very much appreciated at the time..,and so thoughtful..One of these days,we might get together again with you and Rick,but a bit too far for Chris to come for a coffee and a natter :o) xx

Oh I would move back there any day. Left the village when I was 14 and missed it terribly, the stone cottages and the lovely park, so beautiful and so nice to see again. I too go to the garden centre occasionally.It used to be a cricket field at the top and we held our sports day on the car park area, which used to be grass. lol ahhhhh the memories. lovely blog.

I'm so glad it brought back happy memories for you Barbara..It's nice to visit the GC now and then,but it isn't very often,as we have lots nearer home..I couldn't believe how huge the car park is now,and I guess it was all lovely Countryside at one time,like most places..we did enjoy the short cut walk through to the Church,a,which was lovely..and everyone we passed said hello. A wonderful day all round,:o)

I am home again now and to read all the lovely comments on here has made me feel so happy to be part of the 'GoY family!'

It was wonderful to actually meet Bloomer and her husband and it really did 'make my day!' If it hadn't been the wedding I would have loved to head off to the garden centre with them as we had so much to chat about and the garden centre sounded so tempting!

It was all so lovely.

We think a deer has been munching away at all things sweet and tempting including sweet peas and roses! Wish it would acquire a taste for nettles and bindweed!
