Fiesta Minarette Apple trees, front garden

I have been growing 4 Minarette apple trees in my front gartden (to give a country feel to the road, I live in SE London) which have done very well.
This year the ones in the ground (2) have done REALLY well, producing large apples. On Tuesday, I had a delivery courier knock on the door and say “I have never see n anything like that in my life, they are beautiful” said with shining eyes; well, living with them for 25 years, I suppose I am used to them. But it made his day! That was so nice.

Its great to give pleasure to people who admire your garden! You are lucky not to have your apples stolen as they are in the front garden - long may it continue!
Did you give him an apple?

I have to tell you folks, that when my Fiasta finaly died last Autumn (having been growing in the tub for 25 years) I had to dispose of it. So did so, then took out all compost, washed out tub, replaced all compost and re-plated a new Minarette Apple tree - "Scrumptious", which is self-fertile - and this summer, its already growing apples! I am so pleased, had to share.
