Side Garden Mirror

I have been very pleased with my mirror in the bottom garden so decided to buy one for the shady seat area in the side garden. This time I wanted to create a window effect so the mirror is different to the illusion trellis. It was delivered yesterday and I was out there with my drill straight after work (Oh says I’m too impatient Lol). This is my first attempt at placing it, I’m sure it will be adjusted but see what you think.

Reflecting green at the moment but the Honeysuckle and Roses are about to bloom

Looking back from the seat

The view of the mirror taken from the top of the steps

I think the size of the mirror gives the illusion that the garage wall is further away, anything that makes the garden look bigger is good.
Now I plan to move the seat over a little and use a bare patch that has come from removing an old Cistus for my ferns.

The side garden this morning

Annella, its amazing how that mirror has completely altered the look of your garage. I agree with you about it giving the illusion that the garage is further away but it also makes you want to go and explore and find out just what sort of building it is and what is in there.
Its made a huge difference to that part of the garden.

I agree with stroller, that mirror is perfect Annella and so is your garden. ive been looking for a small mirror to go on my decking trellis but can't find what i want, i think i need to shop in charrity shops for the style im after, hub brought one in from work last year (not nice ) and ive reluctantly put it up untill i find the perfect mirror for that spot :)

Isn't it amazing! It looks just like an expensive window. It certainly adds a touch of class and its not surprising you wanted it in the house - but its perfect where it is.

I went to my favourite Gc after work today which is in the village I would like to move to and on the way I crossed the railway bridge, had to give way and looked down only to see my mirror/window shape on the old station house. I have always said if I won the lottery I would love to own a station house and disused platform as a garden, that must have drawn me to this mirror. I love it even more now . Ps I thought the railway children was magical when I was a young girl :o)
