The photos in this blog were taken between 28th March and 1st April, the weather outside looks very different today but the garden was in desperate need of some rain.

The side garden early morning

The mirror corner in the bottom garden coming back to life

The bottom garden

Photinia glowing in the sunlight

Ribes sanguineum

Prunus cerasifera ‘Atropurpurea’ blossom

The side garden view from the gate

Forsythia against blue sky

Pulsatilla flowers

I have planted up new pots for the front garden to be placed on the gravel

Jet Fire Daffodils, these were very late this year

Phormium Bronze Baby outside the front door

Aubrieta ‘Bressingham Red’ happy in the sunshine

Mixed Alpine pot

Convolvulus cneorum

Erodium ‘Spanish Eyes’ and Aubrieta ‘Kitte Blue’ planted in the gravel

The Pots should blend in well as the gravel planting starts to grow back for the summer. Last weeks sunshine and longer evenings have really given me a chance to catch up outside and today’s rain should give everything a boost

I enjoyed the views of your lovely garden Annella, even more so today, its catchup day indoors...

What a fabulous garden. Is that grass or did you just buy yards and yards of green velvet?

Everything looks lovely of course, but my favourite bits are the mirror corner and the front gravel with the pots. Those pots look perfect on that gravel. They look really warm and mediterranean...gorgeous!

That is a great garden, Annella. That back slope is a real eyecatcher and your alpine pots ..... and your (very) green grass .....and...and..... it's all just beautiful!

Thank you very much Ojibway, Steragram you can be my new best friend! The grass looks even greener now for having a good days rain. Karen it will be a good way to disguise my increasing collection of plants ready to move, better than having them lined up around the garden Lol

What a wonderful job you`ve done it all looks so well attended and manicured, while at the same time the plants, shrubs and trees all merge to make a wonderful tapestry. I just love your garden.

Agree with Stroller. What a great crafty plan that is...hiding your 'moving' plants in the gravel! :))

4 Apr, 2012

Your Sedum 'Carl' will be joining them in a nice pot when the weather eases up Karen ;O))

It will look fabby there won't it! My mum has a bit now too. I love it though, it's a cracking autumn plant. 'Your' bit of alstro is growing fine in the greenhouse....once it fills the pot I'll send it. Don't want to disturb the roots again. I must do same for Angela now that I think about it...I promised her a bit as well.
