Allotment - Part 7

In the past few weeks….everything has been growing like “Topsy”…
The dahlias are now planted…

The potatoes are showing flower buds…hopefully I can lift some in a week or so…

.

The broad beans pods are starting to grow…..so I’ve put in some support sticks so they don’t flop over..

An additional bed in front of the shed…..for more dahlias!

The strawberries are not doing quite so well…….they flowered before there were many bees around and were not polinated……am hopeful the second crop will fare better!!

Garlic; cabbages; caulis; sprouts and lettuce are doing well as are the carrots under their protective covering.

In order to make the shed look more attractive….Brian has fixed a trellis up and I’m growing clematis “The President”….and a jasmine in large pots. A border with summer bedding and dianthus and lavender has been planted up and is starting to look quite colourful…
