WALK IN THE WOODS

*It was a bright frosty morning today so I thought I would go for a walk in the woods. Although they are very close Chloe is not able to (or willing!) to walk that far now – it seemed very strange going without her :(

So, armed only with my camera, I set off alone. This was very brave of me as there are wild boar in the woods!!*

Chloe was glad to see me back safe and sound (no sign of wild boar!) and I enjoyed a hot bacon butty and mug of coffee to warm me up :)

Walking isn't the same without a dog, Labdancer, is it? Although I still have my lovely little Chloe she is now well over 16 and just hasn't got the stamina for a long walk and she no longer enjoys it. We go for a slow amble each day but only about a 100 yards or so!

Thanks, DD2, I do them in Powerpoint before putting on GoY :)

I am glad you felt up to getting out..this is the first day of this one for me..have not had a cold in ages...yuck... :( & am supposed to go to my grand daughters Birthday this evening..not sure it is a good idea..may not just to keep from spreading the cold, although I have a feeling it may just be going back where it came from if I went...
If it were sunny, I would still want to get out I think...
thanks BB..stay well..

Lovely walk Gee. I wish I had one like that near my house. I love the Yule log picture and the long tailed tit. You seem to have the knack of clicking the shutter at the right moment to get the best picture. I wonder if anyone else ventured out.

I enjoyed walking with you in the woods, Someone asked me the other day why I don't go abroad for a holiday, your blog offers the reason as even in this weather there's plenty to see at home. if my dog's happy that makes two of us.

I agree with you on that, Heron. There are so many beautiful places in the UK, some of them right on our doorsteps :)
