PALM SUNDAY

Yesterday morning my daughter and I attended the traditional Palm Sunday Service at our Parish Church which was preceded by a procession including a donkey…..

OK, so this year we had three donkeys. None of the three likes to be alone so, where one goes, they all go

Our own lovely ‘Vicar of Dibley’ distributed palms …..

…. before processing down to the church

……just round the next corner

At the church there was a slight hitch as none of the donkeys would enter through the main door

Even the stout little church steeple had a look of surprise and seemed to be saying ‘Oooh’

Finally they were taken round to the back door, opened especially for them, and they all walked in beautifully!

Inside they settled down immediately and the service went ahead, short and simple with various children taking part.

Outside, after the service, everyone made a fuss of the donkeys who were rewarded with carrots.

However, inside a cleaning up operation began. One of the donkeys had done a ‘whoopsee’ !!

AND NOW, WAIT FOR IT, HERE COMES THE GARDENING BIT!

After a quick bit of weeding around one of the graves…..

….. A little rose was given some nourishment!
