My wicked daughter sent this to me! I did try it and was surprised how good it was (not being a fan of microwave cakes). I presume it wouldn’t keep but it didn’t get the chance here :)

2 May, 2012

oooooooooooooh thanks Gee, that looks VERY good.

just might be pudding tonight!!!

2 May, 2012

Sit down, TT, put your feet up, savour every mouthful and make it last as long as possible :)

It's good as a pud, Sticki, with chocolate sauce on top!!!

2 May, 2012

I nominated it for goypedia, its ok only being Five minutes away if you can rememberr where you put the recipe.......

2 May, 2012

i happen to have some blackcurrants in sauce, thought that might work???

pam ~ was thinking kitchen tiles that have popular recipes on them could work well???

2 May, 2012

Yummy, Sticki, blackcurrents sound a brilliant addition. Thanks, Pamg :)

2 May, 2012

Do you want a wicked chocolate sauce (it doubles as a tart filling)

Take equal quantities of dark chocolate and double cream (I use double low fat elmlea) eg 4oz choc=4oz cream...into another mug, mic for about 30seconds, then stir, if the choc hasn,t softened keep adding another few seconds then as you stir the cream and chocolate become one....you can use it as is or add a splash of rum or brandy (I said it was wicked)........pour over pud and enjoy.....put any left over?.in the fridge for another day......

2 May, 2012

ooooh thanks pam, blackcurrants, chocolate sauce and chocolate cake ~ couldnt be better!!

2 May, 2012

are you sure its table spoons Gee, or do you have a big mug/cup not meaning face lol. seems alot to mix in a mug, well mine anyway, but looks great :o))

2 May, 2012

is it plain flour gee

how many does it serve please?

2 May, 2012

That looks and sounds divine Gee and now with chocolate sauce from Pam as well I feel a naughty delight coming on, thankyou both, most definitely one for the favs...

2 May, 2012

I used SR flour, Sticki. It's definitely tablespoons, Sanbaz, the mixture fills about 2 thirds of the mug but when cooking expands straight up above the mug. The mug I used is three and a half inches deep and just over three inches wide. It supposed to be for one, but it will easily cut into 3 thick slices or even 4 :)

2 May, 2012

thanx for that Gee its a help :o))

2 May, 2012

If you saw the state of my recipe books Sticki.......I,ve filled empy pages and margins with notes and recipes people have given me over the years.....

2 May, 2012

Help. I'm not sure which of you to ban first. I will have to give it a go tomorrow. Blackcurrants, rum sauce and all. I knew my freezer was handy. Will it freeze? I've put on pounds just reading the recipe.

2 May, 2012

Ooooooh! Now I've gone and added this to my favourites! As soon as Partner finds out how quick and easy it is he'll be demanding it every day - probably TWICE a day! You really are an awful person for putting this on GoY! ;o)))))))))))

3 May, 2012

awful but we like you!!!

3 May, 2012

I was out to lunch today and the sweet was blood orange posset......it was very nice but I,m not really sure what it was, its serves in a glass and very smooth and creamy, anything that nice must be really sinfull....!

3 May, 2012

posset is lovely, ive only had lemon posset, youngest daughter in law made it once, lovely

i believe its a very old english recipe ~ wine, cream and sugar, possibly egg white????

3 May, 2012

3 May, 2012

3 May, 2012

3 May, 2012

Nooooo
I sometimes think goy is the only thing keeping me cheerful this weather.... :0)

3 May, 2012

i know exactly how you feel, i wouldnt mind so much if it wasnt so cold but its really so miserable,

i did buy some nice things in the shop i work in, ~ begonia in a hanging basket and lily in nice china pot ~ both half price
also got 25 dutch iris bulbs, 3 nerines, 2 lots of 25 acidanthera, 2 spider lilies and 2 lots of 3 eucomis all around quarter or a third of the price!!!

3 May, 2012

I have not laughed so much for ages. I bake and having mixed that ----- in a large coffee mug, i was sure there was too much mixture for the mug. My microwave is only 850w but in it went. Sorry can't show you the wonderful texture or let you taste that rich cholate taste but if you look on my photos I'm about to add the brown abominable snowman. Make sure your mug is large. And then enjoy. Delicious. Only took the 3mins. on the 850w.

3 May, 2012

I grinned all through my "breakfast" too !!!

3 May, 2012

that has to be the best start to the day!!!

3 May, 2012

Chocolate and a smile....:o)

3 May, 2012

absolutely ~ which came first??

3 May, 2012

Ahh now that's the conundrum lol

3 May, 2012

Hey! That's a big word and good spelling for this time of night!

3 May, 2012

;o)

3 May, 2012

I've just seen this and I've just eaten 2 cornettos. I suppose it will have to go on my faves so I can make it tomorrow;-)

7 May, 2012

Made this today Gee. So easy to do. I did 'flow' a bit but tasted really scrummy. Next time I will try the Mr Grumpy mug our neighbour gave Jack for Christmas and got banished to the Gazebo. It's a bit larger. Cheered us all up during this dreary weather.

9 May, 2012

Glad you enjoyed it, Dorjac. It really is so quick, isn't it? I hope you shared it with OH? I like the sound of the Mr Grumpy mug :)

9 May, 2012

I gave up on the mug and we had it again last night for dinner. I made it in a pudding bowl. I was going to take a photo but forgot in the rush to see if it tasted as good as it did in a mug. I have little flower shaped muffin pans. Will try it in that next time. This is a brilliant recipe.

9 May, 2012

Glad you're enjoying it, Scotsgran. I keep meaning to do it again when my grandchildren call - I'm sure they will love it :)

9 May, 2012

It looks delicious! I'm not sure about microwave baking either, but that picture is tempting me to try it! Gives a rumbly in my tumbly :)
BRB in 5 mins

9 May, 2012

Yummy! I cant believe I just said that about a microwave cake! i'm converted!

9 May, 2012

I just popped back to see if you were back!! Glad you enjoyed it. Did you eat it all yourself?

9 May, 2012

We are addicted officially. We had it again for dinner this evening but look how pretty it is now. I will never need to worry about unexpected guests again as long as there are the makings in the store cupboard. Do look at my photos. I cooked them for 2mins and 45seconds. I was not sure about cooking times.

9 May, 2012

Just seen your photos, Scotsgran, absolutely brilliant - they look so tasty :)

9 May, 2012

And taste as good as they look. Thank you so much for posting thislovely recipe and thank your daughter too.

9 May, 2012

Yes Gee, I ate it all myself. Oops! Ended up being too full for dinner. :) Thanks for sharing the recipe.

10 May, 2012

Oh Gee.
I laughed at this blog. lol.
Thought the same as Sandbaz to begin with. Seemed like an awful lot of ingredients for 1 mug, especially the sugar content. lol. No wonder it's so moorish. Wicked, wicked Daughter. lol.
Granddaughter and Grandson love their chocolate Muffins, so can't wait to try this out on them. lol.
Grandson loves Fudge too, so for 1 of his xmas pressies, I bought him 'make your own fudge' from QVC.
Simple to make, and simply delicious to eat. Again its cooked in micro, and after its set, if you want fudge sauce you simply put a few pieces into a jug with a few spoons of water, and it will melt back to sauce.
He would love fudge sauce poured over this cake....mmmmm. :o)

10 May, 2012

Chocolate cake with fudge sauce sounds good to me :)
Check out Scotsgrans version, a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy :)

10 May, 2012

And me. I have a hopelessly sweet tooth but I always get a headache from too much sugar so only indulge on high days and holidays. I have heard of microwave fudge Lindalooloo but never had a recipe to try it.

10 May, 2012

Scotsgran.
The fudge I bought him from QVC, was in packets, The ingredients were already put together. He only had to add water and mix, pop in micro for a few minutes, and hey presto, he had his own home made fudge. He absolutely loved it. The good part was that he could make it himself. (It's as easy as making instant potato) :o)

16 May, 2012

Can you repeat buy then. I have never shopped on QVC or ebay but everybody I know seems to do it.
