I like your sausage rolls and cake :o) They'd brighten up the bleak weather, with a nice hot cuppa ! And you have a cosy fireplace too :o)

Really enjoyed your day Gee....:o)) The bird pics are beautiful as usual, the wagtail one is fantastic, and that looks like you had a Jackdaw there too. What does Millie think of the snow? Lottie has been playing footie this afternoon, she is a great dribbler...Lol! Back into the warm, that's a lovely welcoming fireplace you have....:o)

What a lovely blog, I did enjoy that and the pics, especially Millies expression, what a laugh.Oh and the goodies well, what can I say about those, except scrummy!!✷✷✷

What fabulous bird pictures Gee, you must have a very good camera and that tripod is the way to avoid 'camera shake'! Although I don't like cooking I could certainly be very tempted by those goodies :o))

A lovely blog Gee , how these birds survive the night I don't know , they are so tiny , I have noticed that the Robins are the first and the last to leave they are still feeding when it's almost dark , we have 3 regulars I have tried hard to get a photo of them all together but it seems impossible :o( have a lovely Christmas with your family xx

Thank you all for your lovely comments.
Janey, Millie gets very bouncy in the snow and she loves to chase snowballs but can't work out where they've gone! I would love to see Lottie 'dribbling' :)

Neellan, my grandson is 13! I had to put all his clothes through the washer and dryer before he went home.

Happy Christmas to you all, keep warm and safe :)

Your photos are lovely, Gee. Your woodland walk looked like fun....whatever would do without our washers and dryers...very handy in this weather, especially when a grandson is making snow angels...what fun :)

Have a great Christmas, Gee.

Fantastic photos! Lovely to see a close-up of Woody. We have a woodpecker who visits the nearby semi-derelict barn and taps on the beams to get hiding insects out, but he's extremely shy and flies off at any movement. Happy Christmas! :o)

Amazing photo's wish I had such a variety of garden visitors- still I'm working on it :-)

Thank you, Whistonlass, Nariz and Red aly. I am lucky to live near the village pond and the woods so it's easy for the birds to find their way into my little garden. I bet it won't take them long to find any food you put out, Red aly. Happy Christmas :)

Great pics, specially of the birds, that camera must be a very decent one, and don't they show up well against the snow. I'll be round shortly for a bit of that cake and a mince pie...

20 Dec, 2010

great blog Gee and lovely pictures, I`ll have tea with my cake please :o))

20 Dec, 2010

You'd be very welcome, Bamboo and Sanbaz, but if the snow continues you will have to sleep on the floor :)

20 Dec, 2010

bring our sleeping bags, i dont mind sharing with the lovely doggys haha

20 Dec, 2010

I don't mind the dogs, but I do mind the floor, my poor old bones won't stand that any more, lol!

20 Dec, 2010

lol bamboo

Sorry, Millie has a permanent booking each night keeping my feet warm :)

20 Dec, 2010

Great blog as usual Gee and your photo`s are fantastic, Millie is obviously a lot calmer than Brynner and Morgan, I wouldn`t dare set up my hubby`s camera and tripod in case they got there first..
Merry Christmas Gee....

20 Dec, 2010

Merry Christmas to you too, Lincslass. Millie does dash about indoors but is careful to miss the camera (so far, fingers crossed). When Stig comes to play the camera is moved to a place of safety :)

20 Dec, 2010

What a busy bee you have been Gee, I suppose its that time of year. Lovely blog, with great pics. I wish you and your family a very happy peaceful Christmas.

Fantastic photos, Gee.
Millie looks lovely.

Happy Christmas to you and yours :o) xxx

21 Dec, 2010

Thanks, Grandmage and TT. Have just returned from our morning walk in the woods so I indulged in walking where no one had walked before (in the snow!). Happy Christmas to you both :)

A lovely winters blog Gee, fabulous bird pictures, your walks with Milly are very much like the ones I had with Polly [magical] and your baking is making me feel peckish how if I pop round for a mince pie and a piece of that delicous looking cake I would be very contended to sit in front of that cosy fireplace Mmmmmmmmmmm

21 Dec, 2010

Thank you Clarice, Motinot and PP. Yes, PP, I am so enjoying having Millie - didn't think I would feel the same about a new dog but I do, she is so affectionate :)
I'm afraid the ginger cake has all gone but you're welcome to a mince pie and a cuppa!

21 Dec, 2010

Lovely photos Gee. You look very professional with your camera all set up.....

22 Dec, 2010

Thank you. Looks are deceptive, Holly, I can't tell you how many times I turn round, forgetting its there, and trip over one of the legs :)

22 Dec, 2010

Love the pictures of the birds, very good, and the mince pies look very tempting.

23 Dec, 2010

Gee19 Wonderful Pictures of the wildlife but may i have your mince pie recipe?.

23 Dec, 2010

It's just shop bought mincemeat (I find cheaper brands tend to seep less!) and shortcrust pastry made with half margarine and half lard. I make and freeze them well before Christmas so less hassle. Have a good Christmas :)
