Done to Much

This morning was foggy and cold, but now the sun is shining. I would love to be out there but I’m just too tired today. Not slept well last couple of night (toddler and partner on funny shifts) and yesterday I mowed and strimmed front and back garden. “Lot less bother with a hover” I have to disagree – I’m exhausted, I found it easier digging my soak away hole, which has been a great success by the way – no flooding since. Very pleased with that, worth all the hard work.

Going to do a few soil samples as didn’t get the chance yesterday and maybe plant a few seeds. It’s either that or go for a nap! seems such a shame not to be out in the sun as we don’t see it that often.

Want to write notes on my new seeds in my “gardening diary” done a rough sketch of the back garden ready to input into the planning software, was out there till the sun went with a tape measure. Think they are jobs for when Daniel in bed tonight, Simon on nights so will have peace and quiet to myself (hopefully)

Got a new book from “The Works” book store. Illustrated Dictionary of gardening 4.99 instead of 30.00 what a bargain!

Yes, it can be frustrating when you have a day of lovely sunny weather and for various reasons you feel too tired to go out and do much.......
.... toddlers, puppies, lol. We know. :o)

And I understand your feelings about the hover mower. I mow my back lawn with a conventional mower ~ quite easy. Up to this year, I've been cutting the front lawn with a small hover, but I'm now wondering about mowing the front lawns same as I do the back, even though they are smaller and odd-shaped. The hover mower is just sooooo tiring to use !

Good luck with your garden diary. :o)

.......... and I hope you get back some energy.... soon. :o)

know what you mean about shifts and sleep. hubby used to do 7 nights every 28 and by night 3 i was used to having the bed all to myself, then he'd be back on days! I loved it when i had the day to myself coz he was asleep. if only! dont do the grass, as i dont get the stripes straight. now was that a deliberate act or pure luck? you decide :o)

hope tonight is a better one for you.

The works is a good shop . I have a few gardening books from there myself.
I hope you catch up on your sleep soon. Why not have a nap outside in the sunshine :o)
