Lovely weather this morning, untill the rain came, I caught up on planting etc that ive been itching to do all week…

Main border filling out.

Bought this from B&Q last week. Lysimachia Midnight sun and Aurea, I love it so much that i bought 2 wall baskets, 4 of each plant and copied it :)

And these Hostas, I bought them from Wilkinsons 2 year ago, half price About £1.50 each, This year they have come into there own, the leave’s are Huge..Lovely..

The Suprise!!!
I thought i would cut one or 2 old leave’s off my Trachy this morning,

Going around the back to cut them off, I noticed this, A Flower, Woah, amazing….

Wow, gorgeous! I am terrified of buying Hosta's because of the snails and slugs - last one I bought was decimated within weeks! How do you keep them off your hostas? Gorgeous though, looks so tropical.

Do you know what Aneagillis, the hosta in the bed opposite is chewed to bits :( I think these 2 have thicker tougher leave's, I do use pellets, but, no more here than the other bed.. Thanks for your Comment..

How lucky to have a flower on your Trachy, and your hostas are amazing - not a slug or snail hole in sight - well done !

Lovely to see all your exotics again, and guess what I saw the Lysimachia Midnight Sun and fell for it.....great minds again!! fancy you finding a flower on your Trachy, brilliant. What on earth are you feeding your Hostas on they really are enormous, they look great I grow a lot of Hostas, a constant battle though between me and the slugs I have to use the pellets too.

Hi Whdebor, thanks for your lovely comment, 20 varieties of hosta, wow, how does'e she keep the slugs off? They are fabulous plants, so many different colours and heights, every garden should have them :)))

Brilliant Whdebor, and you can split them in a couple of years, also, wait untill autumn you will get loads of bargains, I hardly ever pay full price for plants and garden stuff, including furniture lol..
