About me
I have a small stone house, but the backyard is 4,000 sq. meters. It is a zone 9 climate and the biggest challenge to gardening is the wind. With storms from Nov. to April bringing gusts of wind over 65 mph, windbreaks are most important and every year I plant more trees. But that brings more shade. The farmers use hydranges to keep the cows from breaking the stone walls and it looks nice in the summer. I try to grow everything from seed, so my choices are based on what I can buy and what I can start.
