My backyard

I’m not used to taking photos of large areas, but with a backyard that is 4000 sq meters, all the detail gets lost. It is terraced and sections are surrounded by trees for wind protection, and it is like walking into different rooms. You need a large screen to appreciate this (mine is 32").
The upper section has everything from bromeliads on the left with a guava tree behind, then a small crepe myrtle tree with a warm weather pine behind. There is a clump of echium then a wind break of pittosporum as you look right. The bush with green tips is one of the few native species. Behind is the very large Metrosideros and extreme right is a Dracaena.
Going to the next level is an area that is mostly Geranium maderense, a clump of bamboo and loquats. The photo is taken from the main area up to it.
Behind that is another small area that has daylilies and yuccas.
The main section is large and here are several photos. It is on a slope.
There is a section towards the road that has a clump of bamboo on the north side and daylilies. My place runs on the east to west axis, so the bamboo doesn’t shade the daylilies. Extreme left, you can just see the Dahlia imperialis that flowers Nov. to May.
One of the normal weather events I have is fog, or low clouds since my place is about 170m above sea level. Here is the main section with fog.
Lots of views of the ocean and stone walls. And at this time of the year, the Canadian wildfires will color the sunsets.
