I love to garden and recently just closed a business to get a real job and now have the time to actually garden. We had a restaurant and bakery for 7 years and had no time for anything else. with the economy we had to close, but it was a good decision for us.
we have almost 2 acres and a 170 year old brick house, the yard has fallen into disrepair because of the business and we are trying to take it back!!!!
We built an arbor last year and put in a paver brick patio the year before that, that is the foundation for the side yard gardens.
we have 3 raised garden beds 4 ft x 16 ft that we have vegestables planted in, lots of pots and a 25 ft flower garden, that we are planting.
more pictures to follow, Thanks for the venue, i hope to learn a lot.

Hi Stephanie, welcome to GOY. im kinda in the same situation as yourself, sold a business last yr as it was taking over my entire life 24/7,, took 3 mts off and just enjoyed being at home and in the garden. back working now but with half the hrs and less stress. a 25 ft flower garden sounds brilliant, what veg are you growing this yr?

Welcome to GOY Stephanie. Enjoyed seeing your photos. All your iron work looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your raised beds. I really like them and if I were starting over in a new garden I would go with all raised beds.
