Hello all, In my mid April blog I posted a picture of a Red Kite that I had taken from my kitchen widow. I reported the sighting and the wing tag colour but I reckon I have got the colours wrong. Before posting the photo I did ask for other people’s opion on the colours and they said the same as me, Blue in the right wing and Orange in the left wing. I paste the message that I received from www.redkites.net and post my original picture. Once again sorry for my mistake.

To be honest, it looks like a purple/yellow tag to me. Unfortunately there is no way of positively identifiying it without a definitive positive colour/name or letter.
Still, its always good to receive reports of tagged kites being seen in the area.
