"Warm Weather? April Fools Day Just Round The Corner."

I’ve been photographing the birds, animals and plants on a daily basis from the house and garden. At the same time I’ve seen so many people go by in the morning with Summer clothing on and at the same time as my neighbour is scraping ice from the car windscreen. Wonder why so many kids got coughs and sneezes at our local school. What’s the old saying ’Ne’er cast a clout till May be out’.

Had a lot happening at the moment, hence the lack of blog so please forgive.

The mated Woodpigeons are now busy collecting or trying to collect twigs for their nest.

That’s the twig for me.

Just close my eyes and pull.

Cor! talk about twigglets-more like blooming tug-a-war.

_Hot weather has fooled the tree has got so much rising sap in the twigs they are hard to snap._

Perhaps I should have built with bricks.

What the heck mate, that squirrel can even do better.

Might be food as they are a bunch of old sycamore helicopter seeds.

Well if you can do better!!….try it.

Hmmmm! Water looks inviting.

Perfect! Just perfect

C’mon! The water’s just great.

Looks a tab cold for me.

Just a small taster then.

Scram! A buzzard over next door’s garden

Back to reality. I open the kitchen door and out of the corner of my eye a pair of buzzards circling low over next doors garden. Time I got my camera they were both effortlessly soaring higher and higher just using unseen updraughts . They were so far apart now that I could only frame one in the lens.

Talk about cementing the bond, the Woodpigeons were on the fence with one begging for food off the other.

Time for an Interlude

Every time I see a bird use the bird water for a bath I pop out to change it. This time a squirrel got to the water just after a woodpigeon had finished bathing. Been used as a W.C. so a quick scrub and change and the water’s on hand again.

Started getting the terrible twins in for breakfast and sometimes a single.

This magpie seems of small statue.

The weather has certainly brought my bulbs on in the front rock-less rockery

This is a bud on my 2nd Camellia, the first has been in full flower for some time now.
Hope to write another blog soon

Great blog Tommy. I like to see the birds collecting the bits and bobs for their nests, the smaller ones always seem to get on better than the clumsy pigeons who I find really comical to watch,, All the pics are smashing....
