acer, acer, baby.......

Sorry couldnt resist that (halifax advert for those of you who think i really have gone mad).

Well you may have gathered that my Acer from GW arrived today. Just as hubby went to his parents to collect it for me, i gave him a list of the other plants ordered, also to be delivered to his parents while i’m out at work. I hope they dont mind. Luckily they live very close by. I’ll repay their kindness in cuttings etc when i can.

Very pleased with the acer – my first one – and a decent size as well. Not bad for £4.95.

Luckily i still have a new pot not yet used that will be ideal for it. So thats a saturday morning task.

Also off to the garden centre (again) after work tomorrow. Bought a lovely lilac blue aster from the clearance section last week thats still in flower and looks lovely next to my new white rose bush. I mentioned to hubby that we really should have bought 3 (hint, hint) and he suggested we go back tomorrow – what a love he is.

Fingers crossed they still have some…..

Have now also planted my 15 perennials that arrived earlier in the week. It was actually 16 as i seem to have got a free one (yippee).

They were all bareroot which i have never seen before, and to be honest most of them looked like some alien form, so i’m glad i kept the photos of what they should turn into :0)

well off to bed now to catch up on some reading. I still have ‘Garden News’ to read from last week, as well as this weeks.

It never ends………….

Sounds like you got your OH trained up there nicely. Clever girl, hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink, bless - hope he takes up the hints. My Oh is as deaf as a post well he makes out he is. lol.

Your garden is growing by leaps and bounds, Tilly...and it's so nice that your OH is enthusiastic about the GC. I hope you manage to get more blue asters on your return....what a bargain your first plant was.

You're really doing a fine job building up your garden stock and having fun too :)

So pleased your Acer arrived safely and that you are enjoying all your plants, bet you come back from GC with more than Asters. I also act as a sub post office for my family and am practically on first name terms with quite a few delivery drivers.
