not more plants!!!

Well after penning my first blog yesterday and receiving some lovely feedback and a warm welcome from you all, i felt drawn to write another.

After joining this site yesterday my other half sent me the link to the tesco clubcard website. Now as a rule i’m not much of a shopper, and i havent really grasped the whole clubcard point thing, apart from some vague recollection of them helping me to go on holiday last year, but imagine my excitement when hubby told me that points = garden things!!!

So armed with a cup of tea i carefully investigated the 13 plant items tesco wanted to give me. Even i have to admit that i have spent rather too much on plant related items recently but i felt just a few more spring bulbs were justified. So after careful consideration i opted for the following….

1. a range of purple & white tulips of various types, so some are the traditional style of tulip and other are the frilly ones (apologies if my description is not technically correct)

2. pink & white daffodils – very striking

3. and finally narcissus yellow bells …so all together thats 56 bulbs soon to be destined for my back garden.

On top of that, i have just ordered 6 dianthus, i am waiting for poppies from a recent gardeners world offer, along with this months GW Acer.

And then when i got home from work my father in law phoned to say the 15 perennials i have been waiting for from GW has arrived. So hubby has strict orders to collect those on his way home tomorrow so that i can get them planted.

I have absolutely no idea were they, or the rest of the above will go in the garden, but i’ll worry about that later. They’ll be a spot somewhere………

Hope you’ve all had good days…..

Tilly

Sounds like you are going to be very busy, I bet you have a lot less lawn next year. Gardening is very addictive my wish list of plants is endless I just wish I had a garden twice as big.

Welcome from me too Tilly. You can always find room for more plants and you know what?....bulbs don't count because you won't see anything till next year! (if that makes you feel less guilty about your extravagance).
Happy planting :o)

Your choices sound great, Tilly...you are going to be busy sorting out homes for them all but you will have fun :)

A great way to use your Tesco points too.
