Spring seems to have Sprung.

having had a quick check around the garden today there are some good signs my Clematis `apple Blossom `is in bud as is the Camellia.Best of all I can see new growth on the `James Grieve` apple tree which I uprooted and moved by about three foot along in this bed in November. This was done as I have a neighbour that complains about any greenery which goes over his side – he has astro-turf not lawn!
!
SORRY FOLKS MY PICTURES SEEM TO HAVE COME UP IN THE WRONG ORDER Senior moment I`m afraid. Last two pictures should be first.

I also moved this old Pieris about a month back it looks as if it may survive. Its in front of a Choicya `sundance`.

This is a small Pieris Sarabande which I planted in 2008 , its in front of a very old Pieris.

Last but not least an old faithfull Bergenia which seems to have been around forever, but I like the large leaves for their colour which last through the winter months.

You have lovely buds on your clematis and some nice shrubs which I'm glad have syrvived being moved. I had a James Grieve in my old garden. It always had lots of apples every year.

Begoniafan, I think your right.
Thanks Hywel I forgot to say that the little shrub to the left is a Osmanthus Burkwoodii which I rescued from my sons neighbour who had put it in a skip, am glad to say it looks as if its got some little buds appearing.
I chose the James Grieve because I think it has a lovely shape to it.

They say it takes all kinds but I think your neighbour takes the biscuit, lol. I wonder who he complains to about things the wind brings in or birds drop?

Surprising what people throw away :O

What an amazing man your neighbour is!! I wonder if he was traumatised by a plant in his youth...perhaps he fell in to a patch of stinging nettles and made a decision on that day that plants are terrifying!! I feel he needs some aversion therapy....I suggest that for HIS OWN GOOD...you start sneaking things over the fence and you could go out at night and hammer a planting hole out of his front garden!! Guerilla Gardening...it's very fashionable you know!!

That would be great ! What would he make of it?

Don`t think I could even get that far KS he`s out the minute he thinks someone might be parking in front of his drive.
