Updating an old blog from April 2011,

in april 2011 my lovely neighbour Paul was throwing away a wrought iron gate but asked me if I could make use of it before he took it to the tip.
Well I was only too glad to take it , then I did a blog showing how I had made a feature of it and what I had planted up it.
This is the photo I showed you, you can see at the right hand side a small climber rose that I planted.

and this is one taken earlier on today to show you how the rose `Love Knot` is doing.

I also noticed how the Rose `phylis bides` shown on my latest blog on 7th of this month was really blooming lovely.lol.

We had a break of about an hour from the rain and just as I decided I could do a bit in the garden down it came again, thus the reason for this blog as I couldn`t show you any gardening I had done. Just hope things improve for the Jazz festival held at Upton on seven this week-end.
Wouldn`t it be nice if we could just have two or three days of sunshine to get things done.

That looks great Stroller.....you have given that gate a whole new lease of life - much better than going to the tip!!
It's chucking it down here and is to do so for the next 5 days....I'm very sad :(

What a good idea, Stroller. The weather here in lincolnshire is awful. Rain and its forecast more of the same for the next few days. Going to have one big sulk , now! Lol.

I remember when you showed the gate in the other blog. I'm pleased the rose is doing so well, and the Phylis Bides is lovely too :o)
It's been raining here too ... all day long. I hope we all get some summer weather soon ...
