The Front Garden, at long last I think I`m satisfied with the lay out.

Paul, the best neighbour ever built us our new porch and OH treated me to a Victorian Lampost.

This first photo is of the garden before he started, as you can see we had an arch in front of the door which we had to remove.

This is the only picture of Paul as he was building the porch, we were doing a lot of hospital runs at the time and just left him to it.

A close up of the finished porch and lampost

A few more random shots

and this last one is a view from the porch to the road.

The photos are out of sequence and I`m fed up with trying to get this blog right.
Good job I`m in a good mood, the weather has been wonderful been out in the garden all day, hope others have enjoyed sunshine as well.

Gracious me I never expected to get so many lovely comments thank you all.
BA, we didn`t design it exactly but we had seen one very similar when going to Evesham so I took a photo and we altered the design slightly then showed it to Paul and hey presto.
Stripes sorry to disappoint but it is only a 1930`s end terrace built for the coal miners.
Karen shame you can`t see it but your heucera is in the last photo - in the green pot in front of the pink Diascia.

What a lovely porch and I wonder what you will grow over it. Your neighbour definitely knew what he was doing. Can I borrow him! Your front garden is very pretty.

A tad too far for him to travel Rose, you can just see at the side of the porch I`ve planted a new wisteria. Then the rose `mortimer sackler and clematis pamjatj serdtza` which were over the arch that we removed.
Just have to watch and wait for them to grow.

Thanks Yorkie, Pam, Booboo and Daylily glad you all like it.
So do I Rose but the last one I had planted up the front of the house never flowered despite the pruning it had with instruction from Bonkesbon, but he like me thought it had been grown from seed rather than grafted. So that has been hiked out and brutal pruned and is now planted in the back garden next to the pond as a stand alone specimen - it will probably flower when I`m kicking up the daisies.lol.
