scottish islands

I particularly love the isles off the west coast of scotland and have visited a few of them, each one seems special. the flowers that grow on the machair are delightful.
i would love to see more pictures and hear from anyone else who has been on holiday there or even better someone who lives there.

this picture was taken on the isle of harris, it is incredibly wild and beautiful, it amazes me that delicate flowers survive at all, but they do and it somehow makes them even more amazing

We have a very nice GoY member "Islander" who lives on the Orkney Islands ..
not exactly West of Scotland, but a beautiful area ...

Lovely pic there of the Isle of Harris with the flowers and rocks :o)

I look forward to more of your islands photos over the winter when I hope to be more on GoY... I'm busy with those autumn garden tasks right now, and not on the computer so much..
... and, I hope you are enjoying GoY :o)))

I love the West coast, round every corner they're another stunning view! The East coast where I live isn't quite the same :)
