A new start

The last couple of years I have failed to keep on top of the ‘vegetable garden’ or the space i’d allocated to grow veg in. After finishing a couple of projects with work before Christmas I decided to make it my mission to install some raised beds so I can start over again, assign a space for the new hens I intended buying and generally make more of an effort.

This was the state of the plot last year when I had an impromptu visit from some eloper’s from the neighbours farm..

I made a start in the new year but then had to abandon it after rather difficult conditions..

A bit of graft soon makes a difference

all the materials I found around the farm, in hedges even and cleared out an old shed that I hadnt been in during the time Ive been here…

still quite a bit to do, i have paths that need to be covered with chippings from a large stack of branches that I have accumulated, I still need to rescue a bit where there is rhubarb and the fencing needs completing..but i did have time to plant some early potatoes and peas today..so glad the vegetable space is back..

some progress..

Gosh you soon got it sorted Sklp and how lucky are you finding enough wood for all those beds, would have cost a small fortune otherwise....
