Some weeks my wife and I noticed an "alien" flower growing on a thick stem about 70 cms high, under a flamingo tree and concealed among some dill.
It was a very large lily style flower, purple with a 25 cms
long pistol. Any ideas what it might be and how had it arrived? Now there is a mass of bright green seeds on the stem. I can (due to technical limitations) e mail a photo. Thank you. Harold Sellors Wisbech Cambs.
