my pashira looks dead

its only 2ft tall, all the leaaves have fallen off and it looks dead , is there anything i can do to save it.

Websites say it should be kept slightly dry as it doesn't like too much water....but then another one says its a tropical wetland tree!! (I suppose the 'aquatica' part of its name gives that away!). So do the opposite to what you have been doing as far as watering goes. Have you had it long, as a change of temp, humidity etc after buying could make it sulk. It may have come out of a lush greenhouse into a drier living room.
