I don't have much knowledge about a kiwi but are there any other apple trees in the area so that the blossoms can be pollenated? I was told there had to be another apple tree at least 30 meters away. Have you been pruning it too severely?

I believe there are male and female Kiwis, similar to Holly.

Identify a pollenater by Googling the name of your apple tree+ pollenator. This will tell you if it does need one, and name a selection for you to choose from if you have room for another tree.
