Can anyone please advise me what is the name of the most common variety of Red Hot Pokers found in cottage type gardens

I think the commonest species is Kniphofia uvaria, red buds and yellow open flowers. Alcazzar is a common cultivar (probably mostly made up the species above).

The common traditional one is probably Kniphofia uvaria but there are now lots of different varieties you can choose from
