Why isn't my lilac tree producing flowers ? The leaves look really healthy.

It was planted about 15 years ago and the flowers were lovely , then 2 years ago there were only a few flowers and last year only 2 flowera.

have you pruned it recently? the best time is late may/early june after flowering. if it hasnt been pruned it could be down to the weather. certainly in east yorks we had the flooding 2yrs ago and then last summer was coldish/wetish and not very encouraging for plants.
