pin cushion flower too late to plant seeds?

I have got some dying flower heads from the garden centre of the pincushion flower and wondered if it was too late to sow them to flower this year?

no not really, they are still germinating in my garden. they may flower a little later though.

Previous question
there are several plants with this common name. do you know its latin name. I googled it and it suggested astrantia, scabiosa and others that i cant remember now. down to my age tut tut.
