Not a ? just enjoy the Jubilee concert tonight everyone .

We applied for tickets but were not successfull.

We can see one of the Beacons from our driveway .

And today we walked all around the Backwater dam in the hills .

The Queen opened Backwater dam in 1969.

Boss is watching with the sound turned off as almost all the acts on it are in our opinion awful. Only watching 'cos our daughter and son in law are in the crowd somewhere.

I agree,Owdboggy..I was quite looking forward to it..but I have seen better...the amount of work put into it ,is fantastic, but I only really enjoyed the choir..even the guests in the Royal box, don't look enthralled either..I do hope Prince Philip recovers well..Denise..it would be such a tiring day for him yesterday..

I thought most of them sounded awful - wobbly old voices and half of them couldn't hit the right note. Embarrassing! I turned it off.

Glad to read comments. I was so tired after weed clearing on the allotment went to bed early !
Had been working in the morning, then went back, not a good idea at my age, wanted to see the Thanksgiving Service Tuesday a.m.
Glad Prince Philip only has a minor problem, he looked so good on Sunday, these things happen to the best of people. Perhaps he didnt want the Pop music either
Cammomile. H.M. seems to have been wearing earplugs - wise lady.

I agree with Cammomile..no way would they ever get past the first stage of 'The Voice' these days..we have some brilliant up and coming singers, but these still seem to have the monopoly...I would have rather listened to Peter Kay,doing a longer spot...:o)

The technology of it was fascinating and very impressive. The current ways of singing out of tune/flat and twisting notes about leaves me absolutely cold. The huge crowd seemed to be having a wonderful time with the buzz of such an occasion. The Choir, Cliff Richard, the opera duet and the palace roof (Ones House) were my faves. Even Grace Jones, bless her, was amusing with her hoola hoop, not too young. Prince Phillip was amazing during the pageant, for his age, such a shame he landed in hospital.

I`m cheating and got it on skyplus, I`ll fast forward the bits I don`t like, lol, I love all the pomp and pageantry of a Royal occasion...
