Old Honeysuckle - can I take cuttings?

This is an old Honeysuckle at least 25 years old. It is growing at the drying area of flats I live in again it has spread all over the footpath and getting tramped on. I was going to cut back and also thought about taking some cuttings but not sure how to do this.
