Carex comans "frosty curls"

This question is on Carex comans

As it is spring, the plant's hairlike leaves are yellow/brown. Should I cut the hair back, or just leave it. I cannot find any information anywhere on how to care for this plant.

I have three books on grasses and none of them recommends cutting it back. So I reckon, leave it, unless anyone who has this grass knows different?
