i would love a living screen,maybe,a willow arch,can any-one sugest another screen.?

Bamboo is evergreen and can be used as a living screen. If using bamboo I would choose the variety with care though. Some types are very small, others grow huge and can send up runners everywhere, and need to have a pit dug around them with a barrier to prevent them taking over.

I have recently bought two 6 - 7 feet specimens partly as screening and partly because I love bamboo. You can still see through them partially as they only have a few stems in each pot. Once they have establised more they will thicken out.

When the bamboo seeds it will generally die afterwards - I had one that did this previously.
