Did you buy the strawberry plants as young plants last year? If so don't give up on them, they bear more fruit in the second year. How do the plants look? Do they have fresh new leaves? I left my last year plants out all Winter, and still they are coming on a treat.

And by the way ask as many questions as you like, I only joined a few days ago and I have found everyone here very helpful and friendly.

Your very welcome, and welcome to the GOY family.

Right back to your strawberry plants. That's good news. You can cut off the older leaves if they look a bit on the old side, but only do this when you can see fresh new leaves coming, and then only if they look as if they need to be taken off. I hope I've been helpful.

hi kzzz.
well the first year they mature , you only get a few fruits, look at the plant see howmany buds there are the more the better, this year when the runners start to grow peg them in small pots and later in the year put them on the ground .
cheers
