A friend has had a lot of trouble with Thrips on his potato crop. His plot is by a brook. Does anyone else have this experience with damp ground ? I have advised old soot plus organic slug pellets this year.

Thank you Gail. Will pass this on to friend. I have suggested he look for 2 pole of land to rent, on higher ground in the village. Think your suggestion a better idea.
