could you tell me names of fast growing shrubs please?

Ceanothus arboreus Trewithen Blue coming into flower about now grows very fast. Sambucus nigra 'black lace' with its beautiful pale pink flowers - great with apricot foxgloves at Great Dixter. Both of these shrubs/trees can take pruning once they've settled and started to romp away - straight after flowering for the ceanothus - apart from that get a specimen bamboo and try and stop it!

Gosh, you must have a large garden if you want fast growing shrubs... Buddleia, Spiraea, Weigela, Dogwoods, Camellia, Lilac, Viburnum...
