can you plant grass seed when frost is expected?

Better not doing it, but i wonted to put some grass seed down on a small patch, and the other week when i did it, it was frosty for a few days, but its not harmed the seed its coming up really well.

Hi, dont put grass seed down untill the weather warms up, middle April is good time as there will be enough rain to keep it moist, i would cover is with a sheet if poss, just for a week or so, then remove it.
