Smoke Bush?
I have a smoke bush I planted 2 years ago and it has been growing very well, however in the recent winds the branches, which are about 3ft long have been snapping off at the trunk, I really don't want to lose it as it has beautiful leaves, does anyone know why this is happening and any solutions please?

If it is an open aspect it is probably doing nothing to help the situation but Cotinus tends to be 'leggy', best to prune all the branches by about one third at leaf drop to make it bushy and it will strengthen the whole bush.
