I have a cordylia which is now 3m high and keeps shedding its fronds. Is this a sign that it is dying.

No, that's what they do, just pick them up or remove any loose ones that you can reach. Lucky you, thousands of Cordylines were killed by the cold last winter, but yours looks fine.

Thanks Beattie,

But the fronds are falling fast and furious this year, when I had just a few dropping previous years.

It must be their time to be "let go" :-) I hope it comes through this next winter as well as the last couple.

Ok Beattie,

We shall see what happens - thanks for your advice anyway.
