Can anyone advise me how to propagate new plants from the cones of Abies koreana Silberlocke ?

i have grown these from seed and it took 10 years before i got cones on the seedling, so patience is definitely required from seed... good luck

Also, with fir trees--as with many hardy shrubs and trees--you plant the seed outside in the fall, and the seedlings appear in the spring. Note that most of the seedlings will not match their mother, but can be used as understock for grafting, if you want the true variety.

Yes, it all takes a very very long time, but they are very pretty trees and I love the blue cones.

when the seeds in the cones are ripe they open and release the seed. you plant the seed and leave to mother nature.
