Is it ok to put orchids out in a shower of rain?

They will love it for a short time Scotkat. I pour rain water from my fast filling butt off the whole of the backroof and canopy over the leaves and through the pot and then leave mine out a while after. They seem OK. Not brilliant but good enough.
