I grow my blackcurrant every year on the same branch as I have them fan trained and do not cut them down.
Does anyone know if brambles and wineberries can be treated the same way as I dont want to cut them every year and retrain them ?.

Brambles fruit on the previous year's cane, so this needs to be removed after you have harvested the fruit. It won't fruit productively again and may die away of it's own accord if left. However if you peg it down it will root and grow a new plant. Leave this year's new growth for next year's fruit.
