Hi every one out there I have just taken up gardening and need as much help and guidence i can get!. I have just taken over an allottement and have a vast and varrried selection of vegitables and everyone tells me i need to feed my crops everyone gives me all different types of advice so what is the thoughts on filling a hessien sack with chicken manure submerged in a water butt and watering everything with the liquor,

Yes, you could try this, or with the same method, comfrey and/or stinging nettles work too.

HI and welcome,
Chicken poo in water is briliant, leave to stew for a couple of weeks, move whats left in the sack to the compost heap, use liquid at 2.5 litres in a 10ltr watering can. water at the base of the veggies.

Be sure to water both before and after the dose, though. Chicken manure tea is pretty strong stuff. The thing to remember about feeding: too little feeding will slow things down, but too much will kill things. I've found it better to err on the side of caution.

We have been given extra ground in our community garden to grow veggies .
