it is Smilecena racemosa or some such spelling. common name is false spikenard. I have it in my garden and I love its perfume.

Seaburngirl is correct. That is Smilacina racemosa.

Thank you everybody for your help much appreciated,have googled it now and confirms Smilacina Racemosa. i can now give it a label.I was looking under the wrong species although it is called false Solomons Seal.

The leaves look like a Polygonatum, but I'm sorry I don't know which species. It's a lovely plant.
