i planted an olive tree in the summer of 2010 it seemed to be doing well but through the winter it lost quite a few leaves and it still is not growing

Mine was the same, Sonia, but in the last couple of days I've noticed some tiny new leaves appearing about half way down each branch, so I hope yours will soon produce some too! Rightly or wrongly I have trimmed back the bare ends of the branches to tidy it up and it looks a lot better!
