Hi I used roundup tree and stump weedkiller last year ,later had stumpbusters in and bits of wood is mixed with the soil .Is it safe to plant vegetables in this soil or should I remove and use topsoil

Yes, the woodchips/pieces are wonderful for the soil, they supply nutrients, which the soil wouldn't have!
