Answers
Root vegetables, other than onions do not transplant well. Much safer to sow the seed where you want them to grow.

Hi there,
On gardeners world a few weeks ago monty don sewed some beetroot in modules, a few seeds in each hole to transplant in clusters to avoid disturbing the roots.
I've never tried it myself, I prefer to plant straight into the ground.
